For got to mention, in the history folder the parameters are stored in separate folders named for the year, month and day they were created, and then within that folder by the hour/minute/second they were rendered as preview image.

Nice work. Your parameters should be in your history folder, even if you didn't manually save them. Any time you render a preview, parameters are saved there. You just have to find them. For instance I'm using Mandelbulb3Dv183, but my ini still points to an older version for saving parameters manually (179). However, the current history file still saves parameters in the 183 version folder.
