You can almost feel the speed at which the re-entry is happening. The way the heat seems to roil off she ship is amazing. I love the way the lines have little spaces that will help dissipate the heat. That looks like some really harsh land, but just because it looks that way does not mean it is hard. Some sponges look pretty wicked only to be used to wash dishes. I would think with the technology that went into making a spaceship would know where to have it re-enter. With the lines of the ship and the rolling land all being dark the textures really bring out their strong points. I also like the minimal use of the flames it gives the whole picture a nice glow.

Lovely sharp highlights. A little quibble: that 'window' on the left doesn't blend in to the glows everywhere else. Give it a murkier warmer look to keep the eye away from the edge of the frame.
